As current Miss Japan Kurara Chibana, who was 1st runner up at Miss Universe 2006, reign comes to an end the search begins for Miss Japan 2007.
A special kick off event had Kurara Chibana walking down a short catwork with the 2007 contestants for the gathered photographers and press. The group also spent time getting to know each other and Ines Ligron the director of Miss Universe Japan
