Today saw a joint press conference of both Tara Conner and Donal Trump in which they discussed the announcement which many were expecting to be that Tara Conner was dismissed from her reign as Miss USA 2006.

Despite Trump informing those gathered that he had fully expected to dismiss Tara Conner when the met privately earlier in the day he revealed that Tara will see out her year as Miss USA.

He explained how his mind was changed during their meeting and it became clear that Tara was the victim of her own success. He normal life in a small town in the state of Kentucky didn't prepare her for the glitz and glamour of New York.

A tearful Conner admitted that she has a problem (with various reports that she had been abusing both alcohol, for which the legal age for consumption is 21 in many states, and harder drugs) and has agreed to go into a rehab program so she can retain her title.
