After a few months of upheaval as existing Miss USA title holder Tara Conner attracted negative publicity as she fell foul of the vices of fame, Miss USA attempted to restore normality with a traditional star studded show.
Miss USA 2007 stuck to the norm with the contestants slowly being reduced as the evening progressed. The final contestants were then asked questions and their answers judged to choose a winner.
The show was hosted by Nancy O'Dell and Tim Vincent. Donald Trump was present and appeared on stage as the winner was crowned. Celebrity judges included Vanessa Minnillo and Jerry Springer.
The show ended with Rachel Smith Miss Tennessee was crowned Miss USA 2007. Danielle Lacourse Miss Rhode Island 2007 was second runner up, Meagan Tandy Miss California 2007 third runner up and Cara Gorges Miss Kansas 2007 fourth runner up.
